The 2020 Census is around the corner, April 1, 2020. This once in a decade event is critical for Community Action and the families and communities we serve across the country, and it is essential that all people are counted. Community Action is proud to be a part of the Census Counts campaign, working alongside other national organizations to ensure a fair and accurate Census. An accurate count is crucial for Community Action Agencies to receive adequate funding — around $2,000 per person, per year, for ten years! The census also informs planning for local Health Care, Education, Housing, Local Government, Manufacturing, and Transportation.
